On Soul Calibur and Video Games

NOTE: This is a rant about Soul Calibur and Video games... it's rather long, so if you have no interest in this subject matter, just don't bother reading.


My birthday is in like 3 days :D Can't wait ~ I'mma gonna be 18~!! (Finally...-__-;; )

Okay. The first thing i'm gonna buy with all of my birthday money is SOUL CALIBUR 3. OMFG ~ I'm DYING to play that game ~ YES YES YES, it's a PS2 exclusive ~ *bites thumb at all the x-box~ers* Mwuahaha.... You x-box fools think you're so hot with your "halo" nonsense. For real. If there was no Halo, X-Box would be a virtual nothing ~ it's be the lowest thing on the major video-game console heirchy:

1. PS2
2. Gamecube
3. X-Box

Muaha... YES LOWER THAN EVEN THE GAMECUBE~!!

Sorry, but i'm not a big X-box fan... or even a microsoft fan (though i'm an absolute slave of their computer operating systems @___@; ) Yeah. I'm just so sick and tired of people bragging about Halo (which is an unbearably shitty ass game to begin with, i mean COME ON. It's SO POINTLESS. It's fun for about 10 seconds....>___<;;; ) Anyways.... back to Soul Calibur...

SOUL CALIBUR 3 *dies*

It's been out since october~! I didn't know that because it turns out it wasn't released on the arcade... so it kinda took the stores by storm. You get to create your own characters~!!! w00t. Can't wait to do that. Plus the new characters look SO COOL. *dies* OMFG I CAN'T WAIT TO TRY OUT TIRA SHE LOOKS SO FUCKING AWESOME. 0____0 Zasalamel and Setsuka look pretty meh to me... tho Setsuka has a great design :D But i must say that Tira's costume annoys the living daylights out of me. She looks like a cross between Poison Ivy (frm Batman) and a tropical bird >____<;; Her look has plenty of potential, but it's just TOO overwrought... she needs to be toned down a little bit... and then she'd look awesome. Hopefully her secondary costumes are better....

Soul Calibur 2 was one of my fave games of all time. OMG I LOVE TALIM *dies* She is HONESTLY the first decent brown character in ANY VIDEO GAME EVAR. Sure street fighter had Dhalsim and Pullum Puruna (she's pretty well unknown tho...) but Dhalsim is a total reject. Sure, he's cool in THEORY... with the yoga and the mysticism...but he's by far one of the shittiest characters to use. He's SO FUCKING SLOW. He's got like no attack strength.... and he has a very short list of special moves. AND WTF IS WITH THE STRETCHING BULLSHIT~?! It's SO LAME. It was cool in the movie where he was JUST FLEXIBLE... but when he's like a fucking rubber band, it's just so dumb (and cheap when he's fighting against you -__-;; ) Anyways, TALIM IS WIN. I like how she's a priestess of the winds, but it can get annoying when every other line is "wind guide me" =___=;; Really dear, you're as cute as a button, but please stop with the cheesiness...but then i guess that's a part of her appeal. She's just so pure and adorable =3

A lot of people i know love Kilik. Now... i don't "dislike" Kilik...but he annoys me in that he's like a Seung-Mina rip off.... sure their moves are vaguely different...but Seung-Mina is the ORIGNAL staff weilding biatch... so i tend to like her better. Hopefully in this version there will be a clear difference in their fighting styles...but i guess it makes sense why their fighting styles look alike. A monk that trained in the temple that Kilik was raised also trained Seung-Mina for a while...but still... i hate how EVERYONE LOVES KILIK and then say that Seung-Mina is the rip-off. You stupid noobs, you know NOTHING. Learn your history. SEUNG-MINA came first, therefore she is the original. But i guess i shouldn't hold this against Kilik... he IS pretty damn awesome in his own right ^___^ And i really do like the character.

I hope the opening theme for SC3 is just as win as the one for SC2. I swear, i've gotta watch the opening before even lifting the controller to play SC2.... the theme music, the animation... it's just so epic ~ totally gets me into the mood to play :D

But one thing that makes me wonder in the opening theme is why Taki and Ivy were fighting. :/

Oh~ I know why :D

They're fighting to decide who the sexiest female in all of Soul Calibur is.....

(btw -- Ivy is TEN TIMES HOTTER than Taki will EVER be. I mean, wtf is up with unitard spandex~? It's ugly.... and it's probably not even FABRIC... it's so fucking tight that you can see her belly button, nipples, butt-crack and even some camel-toe 0___0;; My gawd...it must be BODY PAINT... >___0;;; )


P.S -- If i offended any X-box users, i REALLY DON'T CARE. Keep your complaints to yourself...or better yet, go rant in a journal ^__~ This is MY JOURNAL and i'm entitled to say whatever the fuck i want to... and if you don't like the fact that i made fun of x-box or halo, well too fucking bad.

In terms of the console hierarchy nothing could possibly get lower than Sega ****(the thing between genesis and dreamcast[?], the one that's so forgotten I can't even remember the name of it ^^;)

Let's see 9-3 = 6. So when you get enough money to get the game (5) when you walk into the store and have the game in your hands (4) when you pay for the game and it is officially yours (3) open the packaging (2) put the game in your PS2 (1)

Everybody up here adores the X-Box. I think along the same lines you do, therefore I remain very, very quiet.

I actually know nothing about SCIII aside from the fact that I must have it. And there have been other brown characters. I just can't think of them right now.

And Taki is my favorite character....your hating is not appreciated. She's a very strong character to use, with a nice variety of moves, and her second outfit (never seen her third) is nice enough. And come on, Ivy's second outfit? Is anyone else reminded of George Washington? ~_~

Try setting the voices to Japanese. Talim's speeches get much less annoying then.

Kilik is also slightly less whorish than Seung Mina, which may explain why some people like her less than him.

Don't get me wrong, i LOVE Taki ~ and her second costume is the WIN. But everyone i know likes playing her in her first outfit and then drooled over her story illustrations...which are rather....cheesecakey. Off course Ivy is just as big a slut... besides Talim, every other female in that game is pretty skanky... at least to some degree... And i was merely commenting on the fact that Ivy is hotter than Taki (at least in my opinion), and not on Taki as a character. Taki is UBER fun to play as, especially when flipping around the opponent and confusing them utterly >D But then Ivy's moves are fun also... I've pretty much tied those two as my second faves... Talim being the first. Yeah, Ivy's second outfit is so retarded... if it was just tweaked a bit it could look alright...but she looks like a man 0__o;; Omg... you HAVE to see Ivy's third costume... it's a GORGEOUS red dress with sheer rose patterning, it's my fave costume to play in ~ Here's a relatively decent piccie of it ~ :D

Taki's third costume is okay, definitely better than the first... it's basically the second costume with less armor and more green ^^; But i'd say the second costume is best... urgh...i can't find a decent piccie of it... you'll have to unlock it i guess.

Yeh... Seung Mina is just as big a slut as everyone else... it could also be that many male players prefer using a male character to a female one... and since they have the choice between the two, they'd play Kilik over Seung-Mina... and then have the nerve to call her a rip-off...*sigh* Whatever... I really shouldn't get so annoyed over such trivial things... To each their own, ne~?
