Reading Naruto right now... surprisingly the public library has a decent selection of manga and comic books... I've read up till book 5. I can finally see what the fuss is about~~~ ^___^ It's not the most deep and intellectual series you'll ever read (which is usually my preference), but it's funny (very funny, actually), has plenty of great action, and a decent story line with interesting characters. All in all, it's a good read~~ ^o^
Trying out Fruits basket as well (simply because it was available), i've got issues 3, 4, and 5 in my hands... 1 and 2 weren't here... so yeah... *shrug* i've heard good things about it...

I saw Troy yesterday~~!!! (ya, ya i know i was late...) But WOW~~~ It was SO GOOD~! 0____0 I put off watching it for a long time because people had told me that they took pretty much the entire mythological/mystical/Godly element out of it. In the original tale the Gods were involved in the story, but in the movie they were barely mentioned. Also, they didn't include Cassandra... WTF~!!! She's mah fave~ and rather important to the story... so because of these uber irking factors i hadn't watched it till now... But i found that i enjoyed it ~ it was SO well done~!! And i found that i appreciated the 'realistic' telling of it. But i still wished they had included Cassandra *mutters*...
I also saw Runaway Jury (w/ John Cussak and Rachel Weiss) - that was good also ^__^ I thouroughly enjoyed that one... especially the ending ^0^
okay. Now i'm done....

Date: 2005-07-15 02:09 pm (UTC)Lol Naruto ish awesome~~ I've read the volumes about Haku and Zabusa, and also the volume about their first exam (the written one) it's very funny~~ ^___^ and sad (about Zabusa and Haku i mean)
Actually i'm getting along well w/o volumes one and two, the story is easy enough to follow. I LOVE MOMOJI~!! >________< *dies* yeah...*cough* Maybe cuz my sign is rabbit, so i'm a little biased >.>;; I also really like Hatsuharu (the ox) - he's a great character. And i'm practically in love with Kisa T___________T her story was so sad.... i just wanted to grab her and go SQUEEZE~!! ;___;..... Okay... that sounded like a Shigure moment *cough* Yeah... i think i can say that i love that manga now ^___^ Even if it is a little weird... Especially how everyone is hitting on everyone else - wtf~~ aren't they in the same family 0___0 especially Kyo/Kagura... isn't she older than him too~? >___< I don't think i wanna think about that... it's just too gross.... >o<;; (the incest implications, not the age difference)
