Demon names ...

eggshellblueOkay, so, I need your help guys. I need y'all to help me name a character :)
Currently I'm considering naming him Belial, but that's an actual demon name, so I'm rather hesitent to use it, as I don't want him to have to live up to some label or whatever. Also, I was thinking of giving him the name 'Azran' ~ I have another character like that also, but honestly their personalities are rather alike, so I thought I could just recycle the name XP What do you guys think of that? That's the one I'm leaning most towards at this point, but if you can come up with something better, by all means go for it! ^_^
As far as names, make em' sound demon-y/fantasy-like... but nothing too evil, kay? Because he's not evil, just rather selfish. So, here are some basics about him, then I'll show you a picture ~ :)
age: Unknown (although he looks about late teens, early twenties)
gender: Male
Race: Demon
Classification: No one really knows what type of demon he is, but he's labeled as an Incubus because he has the ability to 'seduce/charm', as well as feeds off of emotion (sexual energy is his particular favourite, it's like a treat, but it's not mandatory)
Hair: It's usually kept long, but he changes the color/style constantly (which is another of his abilities ~ he can manipulte the appearance of his human form. He doesn't shapeshift persay, but can alter details of his human alias with ease). Kept in a very edgy/teased style most of the time.
Eyes: Violet.
simplified personality:
- tends to do things for his own gain (and for only that reason ~ he's not good or evil, he's just himself)
- charming
- appears to be very easy-going, fun-loving (but in actuality he's manipulative and calculating)
So, yeah... those are the basics... And now here's the image! :D

Date: 2006-09-01 01:06 pm (UTC)Hm... you're right about the 'El' ending, and I think you're right about the smexful 3-syllable names too... but the small-syllable name WOULD also suit him, ne? I was thinking maybe give him a three-syllable name, but also a shorter nickname?
I was thinking of going with Azran before, but when you brought up the 'El' point, I thought maybe 'Arazel'? He could be called 'Zel' for short... would that work, d'you think?

Date: 2006-09-02 04:36 am (UTC)Arazel is a cool name xD it's slightly reminiscent of Azazel, which I think was an actual angel/demon (same difference ^^;), and it works for nicknameage ^^ Though, ultimately, it's really about how well you like the name and if you can really see your character answering to that name ^^v I'm sure whatever you choose will be great ^^v
