In my head, young Remus looks different.

As for your second pic (the coloured version). It's kinda scary lookin' to be honest. (It's probably the eyes).

I know, I know, talentless people shouldn't criticize. But at least it doesn't look like a bulldozer ^_-

PS I think this icon is perfect for you.

Don't fix the eyes!!

In fact, feel free to ignore anything I said/wrote. Even though it's creepy looking, I thought the eyes were the best part. It's because they're so "werewolfy". OK, I know that's not a real word, but not once in my life did I say I was articulate.

OMG, you drew Remus!!! I love Remus!!! I love you!!!

Ok, now that that's out of the way: I like it. It's actually pretty close to how I pictured him. I like the slightly shaggy hair. ::shifty eyes:: ::ruffles Remus's hair and runs away, cackling madly::

I couldn't help it! The hair looked so fluffy!

BTW, do you think you could draw Sirius and/or Harry with the same type of hair? Shaggy and slightly messy? It'd be so awesome!

but off course i will :D I'm on such a HUGE harry potter high right now that it's not even funny lol so don't be surprised if you see some shaggy haired harrys or sirius(es?) running around.... or maybe even some *coughsiriusxremuscough* .... >___>;;

I like Remus too. It kinda annoys me that Harry so attached to Sirius but seems to ignore/forget about Remus. I guess it just the fact that Sirius has/had the title godfather--and Harry's brain says Sirius=family. Also he was James' best friend.

But I like Remus better!!!!

He's the smart calm one.

And in the fifth book Sirius was so moody, he was practically pmsing. For example, when everybody was a 12 Grimauld place, he was so happy at first, then after Christmas he was all boo hoo huffy puffy again. Rowling implies that this is because he knew that soon everyone would be going back to school again, but still...they go back to school after New Years!!! Not the day after Christmas....

and the way he treated Kreacher (although he was kinda evil in the end....and I can't say Harry's much better, he doesn't even think of Dobby unless he needs something...)

Wow. I feel much better now.

Too bad lj cuts don't work in comments. Sorry Yue ^^;

No need to apologize dear XD Glad you feel better letting that out ^__^

I agree entirely on the Harry ignoring Remus bit, yes Sirius IS his godfather by title, but Remus was also one of his father's best friends and DID help Harry alot during the third year. It's the relationship they developed just *poof* dissappeared after the third book ...

tee hee hee.... Sirius pmsing....*falls off chair laughing*

I think the (only) reason Lily and James didn't name Remus Harry's godfather, as well as Sirius, is because they knew that Remus's life was too unpredictable because what he was (being a werewolf and all) forced him to move around a lot, because people would be very upset to have him living nearby when they found out what he was.

Ok, that was a long sentence. >_< But that's why I think Remus isn't Harry's godfather as well.

You're probably right. But still.

but we all know Harry's an idiot. I'm sure I don't have to list all the examples. It would be a rather extensive and detailed list.

Just thought of something.

Maybe the reason Harry is so devoid of a personality (minus a couple key traits that endears him to the audience) is so that we don't find out what an IDIOT he is too soon in the series, and keep reading.

Where's Kageno?

I agree with that ~ i never said Remus would make a better godfather, but i still wish that Rowling didn't make Harry just drop the guy after the third book... he's BARELY mentioned, and when he finally gets some page time, he's thrown into the TONKS FIASCO...>____<;;; wtf is that... meh...:P

i LOVE harry... and i wudn't love him if he was perfect!
i love Sirius for similar reasons.. yet its a different kinda love ;)
i LOVE BILL (~!~) because hez hot and smart and has the earring... (ignore the irrelevance)

and i, the mindless reader, dint pay much attention to Remus, maybe
it was because he was the GOOD one out of the trio: i.e Potter, Black, and Lupin. Good boys dont call for attention, thus they dont get any...

anyway.. maybe the reason for his lack of involvement from the story was to leave the spotlight for Sirius... the whole reason why sirius' death was tragic was because he was the only one Harry could relate to (besides the fact that he was hawt ~not in the movie~).

Look at it from the writer's perspective, if Harry cud relate closly to both of them, then there would be no intensity and so that part of the book would loose its intrigue (if thats the spelling)

and i LOVE uer id pic.... :p the swimming one ;) ;)

Well you've got a decent point there Juhu, especially concerning the "shock factor" of Sirius' death. But now that both Sirius AND Dumbledore are gone, i'm very certain that Remus is gonna be back in the spotlight ~ afterall, SOMEONE has to continue to improve the boy's DADA skills. Yes, he's very good for now, but come one... he's gonna be facing off against VOLDEMORT - he's gonna need at least some more training before he's ready for that challenge, and with two of his father/mentor figures gone, I'd say it's gonna be Remus' job to fill the void (considering he did exceptionally in teach Harry the Patronus charm in the third book) anywhoo, that's just my two cents....

Oh, btw, has anyone yet come to the conclusion that Remus may be an Occlumens/Leglimens~? I read an essay on that subject and considering the proof given i was fairly shocked at how true that possibility could be... i'll see if i can dig up the essay to show you guys...

Hmmmmm. *thinking*

I suppose it's a possibility, but I'm not too sure. In terms of the first example, it was a one-on-one conversation. Lupin's full attention was on Harry. He probably could discern his train of thought from his facial expressions. Everyone always seem to know what I'm thinking. As for the secind example, Remus knew Sirius extrememly well for many years. It makes sense that he should be able to predict his train of thought, and once again tell what he's thinking from hi facial expressions. My brother often answers me before I even ask ask anything. I guess I'm just so predictable.

sdfsjfkdjfioaejfdkdm,csier!

That's horrible! It'll be like Remus is the last resort. That's sad.

It would have been more shocking if I noticed when Sirius died the first time I read that part rather than wondering why everyone was crying over Sirius.

I didn't say Potter had to be perfect. But he's such a ................................................teenager! Stubborn, stupid, and doesn't recognize all the people who love him--Dobby, who Harry only remembers when he needs something, yet who adores Harry; and Remus) It would be OK, except some of the things are REALLY stupid. ie the mirror, not going to Snape for help (forgetting he was in the Order). Sometimes I even want to hit Hermione over the head with somethng. Writing Dumbledore's Army at the top of the paper. I had to stop reading the book for a day after she did that. Not after they got caught, after she wrote Dumbledore's army. It was a disaster waiting to happen, and if I noticed...

Occulems? Interesting, but I have a test today, so I'll read the essay later. Wish me luck!

PS Nice to have you join the conversation Juhi

A_P, have you seen Kageno latlely?

Well, considering how the 6th book sets the stage for the WAR, i don't think it's too surprising that it's come down to Remus being a last resort, after all ~ things have gotten serious now, haven't they?

Good luck on the test dear ~ Go get em ^__^

April_P -- Yes, i haven't spoken to nee-chan in AGES.... has she been at school or what~?
