Day One...
Sep. 12th, 2006 02:37 pmYeah, so I just got back from my first class :D
Man, 2D Design is WAY cooler in the Animation stream than in the Illustration stream >_>;; ~ According to the course outline and our proff, we're gonna be doing awesome stuff like cartooning, layout designs, storyboards and the like... I'm so excited! *SQUEE*
So, class was pretty cool. I like my prof, Vivien, she seems like a cool person, and also she used to be an animator for Nelvana (Y'know, the 'polar bear' company? lol) ~ Basically the time was spent reviewing the outline, and talking about the course. During the second part of class we got to watch a documentary on Charles "Chuck" Jones, who was a brilliant animator. (For those who don't know, he's the guy who created Wile E. Coyote, The Roadrunner, and Pepe Le Pew) ~ His work is so inspiring, and has such amazing character and essence. I pretty much squee-ed through the whole movie XDD
Blargh, haven't made friends w/ anyone in my class yet >_>;; ~ To be fair, it's more because there really wasn't any time for socializing as of yet, rather than my lack of social skills >_>;; ~ It's annoying when none of your friends from the previous year are taking the same course as you this year >_<;; So, now I have to pretend that I'm at least capable of human interaction... *snort*
After class I went to the Registrar Office to get the forms for my student GObus pass, and then managed to track down the Student Union office so I could pick up the student handbook/agenda thingger.
That's about it thusfar. My next class, Imaging Systems, is at 5:00pm (it is currently 2:45), so I'm just gonna chill out here and wait - catch up on some fic, and the like. If any of you have time, hop onto MSN so we can chat ^_^
