Can anyone say 'WTF'?
Jun. 15th, 2006 11:53 pmHas flirting gone to a whole new level? I dunno... this whole situation is now about 100,000,000,000x more muddled than before...
Tell me how we went from barely speaking, and hidden looks to playing 'couple'?
Wtf?
I don't remember exactly how it happened? I'll try to recap in chronological order the best I can...
Monday:
We have a new system at work in which you're assigned to a till for the entire day, wheras before we could migrate from till to till, wherever we were needed. Anyway, I'm stuck at Cash 5 (if you recall from previous entries, are right in front of the red-cap shack/loading area)
Anyway. I was alone at Cash 5 for the majority of the day. The day is going by really slow... it is so dead, it's ridiculous. So, with little work to do, Nick spent a good portion of the day at my till. We talked/laughed, quite chummy actually. Other than that, nothing more...
Tuesday:
Once again, at cash 5, but this time I'm not entirely alone. Anyway, I was conscripted into making sale signs because apparently they need someone with artistic ability to write out 'SALE' on the sign O_o
Enter Pablo.
No, it's not what you think. It's better.
Pablo... is a dildo marker.
Well, actually, he's just a marker that I was given to make the sale signs with, but he's so huge that we (I) dubbed him the 'dildo marker'.
Anyway, I spent the vast majority of the day harassing people with him >D ~ but by the end of that day, Pablo was infamous amongst the cashiers, the redcaps, and even several salespeople XD
As far as Nick and I went... Pablo was the medium in which sexual innuendos were tossed back and forth.
Wednesday:
Once again, at cash 5. Wanna know what ol' Nicko does today?
He brings me flowers.
Seriously.
Twice.
Sure, they were lame flowers and stuff, but whatever. They were so totally uncalled for. He just waltzed in, and gave me a flower. Wtf.
Nick: "Here, I brought you a flower"
Me: O__o? Um... what for?
Nick: Because
Me: Ah... Well Nick, I'm quite touched ^_^
Nick: ^_^
Me: But you do realize this is going straight to the trash, right?
Nick: *laughs* Oh, you wound me...
As you can see, we've uped from ackward conversations to actual humour/teasing. That's pretty much what we spend all our time doing, humouring/teasing each other.
Anyway. He brought me another flower during the day, this time a cute little yellow one (the first was red)
The rest of the day, he spent bothering me. Like, seriously, he intentionally went out of his way to do something to irritate me/get a rise out of me. It was so juevenille...
For example, I'm paused in the middle of a big order while my partner is conversing w/ the customer (a wholesale customer, by the way). Anyway, the total is currently over one thousand dollars, and so Nicky-boy saunters over, picks up the scanner, and starts scanning things. Like, into the order. It took me a second to realize what he was doing, because I was just in shock that he would do something so stupid. That God I knew where I had left off, and as such knew what to delete from the order. But seriously people, that was fucking ridiculous. I almost had a heart attack while he laughed at my expression >_<;
Also, he stole Pablo. He, and his redcap friend Darren, stole Pablo. And he wouldn't give him back to me. I had to chase him around, and physically threaten him (at one point, I started bashing him with the broom) to get Pablo back.
And, as if this childish teasing isn't enough... he blew a kiss at me.
He was heading out the door with Darren, and he just turned back and blew a kiss at me... while Darren wasn't looking. I was like "Whaaaat? O__o?", and for a second I wondered if I had imagined that, because it was just so random, and so... out of context... that it could not have actually happened. But then Linda, who was there at the time, turned to me and said "Did he just blow a kiss at you?" and I was like, "Yeah?" with the most absolute dumbstruck look on my face *laughs*
Well, you know I'm not one to be outdone.
So after that, whenever he would show up at my till (which was very frequently, by the way) I would make some sort of comment.
Me: What? No flowers this time?
Nick: Nah, I ran out...
Me: *puppy dog eyes* I'm heartbroken...
Nick: Aww... *laughs*

Me: Well, look who it is
Nick: *stops at till and leans on counter*
Me: Why Nick! Are you stalking me?
Nick: *mock gasp* Oh noes! How did you find out? DID JON TELL YOU?!

*Nick and Darren show up*
Kat: What're you two retards doing here?
Me: Don't worry Kat, it's just my stalker
Kat: O_o? Wait. What?
Me: Stalker. Him. *points at Nick*
Kat: *laughs* Are you serious?
Nick: *puts arm around me* Hell yeah!
Me: He even brought me flowers today ^_^
Kat: *has doubled over laughing*
Nick: Shhhh! What are you doing telling them that? That's our secret!
As you can see, we're pretty much flirting under the pretense of joking.
Thursday:
Once again, another dead day... it pretty much continued from where it left off.
*Nick and Jon show up, while Prab and I are pricing*
Nick: *picks up pricing gun and puts sticker on me*
Me: *reads sticker* 2.59?
Nick: If it were up to me, I'd price you higher baby

*I walk outside to the loading area where Nick and Jon are hanging out*
Me: Doing nothing, as usual I see
Jon: Pffft. Yeah. What're you dong here anyway?
Nick: Stalking me, off course.
Me: Oh yes. I can hardly keep away! ^_~
Nick/Jon: *laugh*
Nick: Oh! Did I tell you, I brought him flowers yesterday!
Me: He did! I was so flattered! Made my heart go fast, it did.
Jon: *still laughing*
Nick: *grins* Come on, you know you love me
Me: *blows him kiss as I walk back inside*

This is what we've been doing for the past few days. Off course, there have been other conversations, but I can't possibly remember them all >_<
And, off course, there are the strange 'lunch/break' coincidences. Basically, whenever I'm on lunch or break, he just happens to be on at the same time. Either that, or he just stays past the time he was supposed to go back so we can chat more.
Beyond that, there's nothing more really to say...
Honestly you guys? This is just getting confusing. But all the same, it is a hell of a lotta fun... >D
BUT OMG! Tommorrow, we're all going out! Wtf! I have to go shopping tommorrow... need to look hot, so that there's no question in his mind what he's missing >D
Buu... I'm tired... it's past midnight, again... and I'm quite sure this entry has ceased to make sense (or at least I've stopped all attempts at coherancy :P)
