College Life - Belated entry
Sep. 15th, 2005 02:07 pmOkay... finally i'll get off my lazy ass and update... get ready for ultimate boredom~~ mwaha~!!
here goes...
started college... last week~? (my brain is SO fried... can't remember anything @___@;) Anyways... it's fun, i guess... but commuting is a total bitch... takes about 1 hour n' 15 mins to go one way, so it's reeeeeaaaallly tiring... =__=;; especially taking the mississauga transit >__<;; that bus is always so crowded so i hafta stand and i'm carrying a whole bunch of heavy ass portfolios, so that doesn't really help >___<;; The GO bus i take to Sheridan is rather more comfortable... it's not quite a "luxury" bus, but it's got poofy/comfy seats and air conditioning ^____^ So that sorta makes up for it...
Nya... my classes are fun... i LOVE my Drawing and Painting classes *squeee* I get to draw/paint NAKED people~!!!! mwahahahahaha~!!! *nosebleed* Hope they're hot...*___* ~~ *smacks himself* Think with your head, not with your pants dammit~!! >____<;;;;;
*laughs*
2D Design is...okay... we're re-designing the gameboard for the game Othello... i'd never heard of it before this class :P Apparently it's a distant cousin of the Chinese game Go. Normally i hate this sort of thing (especially since it's all black and white, as well as only using geometric forms) but part of the assignment is to use images that are metaphorical, especially in relation to the theme of the game Othello, which is "TO RECLAIM". So i get to flex my creativity muscle... it balances out (sort of). Another class i thought i would hate was Imaging Systems (aka DRAFTING *duh-DOOOM*) >____< I'm not a ruler person... i hate dealing with rulers... they are my sworn enemy... fucking rulers. Well anyway... i have the same instructor for this class as well and he makes it interesting by adding a design element. Normally in a drafting class you'd do boring stuff like draft buildings, cars, and the like... but he is letting us design either a) an outhouse (using kitchen foods as a motif), b) a telephone booth (using computers/gadgetry) as a motif and c) a ticket booth (using anything to do w/ the entertainment industry as a motif). The structures that we create can be as complex/unreal as we like, but our task is to make them seem as if they could be possible to build (the scenario is that we're creating blueprints for an architect/company to build these things from). So that makes Imaging Systems at least bearable... My instructor's name is James Tughan and by GOD he is an AMAZING artist... he showed us some of his work in class and i was absolutely FLOORED. 0____0; he does hyper-realism using CHALK... i mean HOLY FUCK~!!... >___<;; anyways... i don't think he has a webpage, but i found a site that displays a few of his pieces: http://www.bpiw.ca/artgallery/tughan.html ~~ sadly the images are rather small, but you should be able to get an idea of his amazing talent... my gawd... *____*;;;
Well.. the homework is fucking terrible >____< between commuting and 3 hour classes, getting homework done is quite a task indeed...*sigh* but i manage... after all, other people go through this too...
Well... theres not much more to say... hopefully that was a sufficient enough entry for you people who have been ragging me *coughnee-chancough*
